) checks in with his recent discovery of a variant edition of
The Houdini Messages by Francis R. Fast. Says Arthur:
“Here's something interesting I recently acquired... There are multiple 1929 printings of the little pamphlet "The Houdini Messages" by Francis Fast ( I currently have prtg #1, 2, 4, 7). This one shows 1929 fourth printing USA but then it shows copyright Australia 1937 and on the back cover (scan not shown to you) it's imprinted "Butterfield & Lewis Ltd. Print. Sydney 70263" These covers are also plain where-as the other variants are sort of a light stripe back-ground. As you can see this has also been signed by [Arthur] Ford. If anyone knows anything further, I would be happy to hear from them.”
Wish had that .. Looks awesome. I've read the booklet and it is very interesting.
