Thanks for posting this video. What a wonderful lady. We think of her as Houdini's assistant but she clearly had a very full life. Rest in Peace Dorothy.
ReplyDeleteIm sad hearing about her passing. She was the last living connection to the Houdini show. Is there anyone still alive who actually knew Houdini? She more than likely was the last. Her home was in Ocean Grove NJ not Tinton falls (unless she moved in the past year). My wife and I live not far from Ocean Grove and we passed her home frequently during our walks by the beach. I always wanted to knock on her door and say Hi but never had the guts to do so.
ReplyDeleteOh, thanks for the correction. I got Tinton off Wikipedia.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if there's anyone left who actually knew Houdini. She may have indeed been the last.
She had a very nice home...all white with blue awnings. Great location just a stones throw (literally) from the ocean and a block away from downtown Ocean Grove NJ.
ReplyDeleteSo it appears she did die in Tinton Falls afterall. She apparently moved into a retirement home there recently.
ReplyDeleteYou should had stopped by I recall she ask me to come by. It was once in a life time She was one of the sweetest people I ever meet So honored to call her a friend
ReplyDeleteWow! I wasn't aware of this video! Dorothy was something!
