As far as I know, this is the first foreign language release of one of Houdini's silent films. I'm curious to know whether this is the English version with French subtitles or an actual French print with original French title cards from 1922?

ReplyDeleteJust a quick update on the French edition of The Man From Beyond (L'Homme de l'au-delà) released by Bach Films. The DVD contains the English version of the film with Fr subtitles. As you mentioned, the film comes with 2 documentaries (one 47-minute doc about Houdini + 15 minutes about Blackstone) and the audio CD of the soundtrack composed by Panama Hammer Jammers specially for this edition of the film.
