Cruising with "HOUDENI"

While there are novelty Houdini license plates out there for purchase, here is a genuine California "HOUDENI" license plate. I know this because this was the personalized plate on my own 1980 Fiat Spider. I recall that Houdini collector Manny Weltman had "HUDINI" on his California license plate.


I let the plate go when I traded in the Fiat, but now I wish I would have transferred it to my next cars. Who knows, I might still have it today. I wonder if it's still out there, somewhere...

    Back in the 1980s, Genii Magazine would occassionally post pictures of people with magic related plates. As I recall most said "MAGIC" or some version of the word.
