Eurogamer.net has an interesting article about a World War II effort by Clayton Hutton to undermine the enemy using the game Monopoly. But what is of particular interest to us here is that the article opens with an account of a 20-year-old Hutton challenging Houdini to escape from a packing crate in 1913. It's very interesting to read about a Houdini challenge from the challengers point of view, although the idea of Houdini "wearing a fur-lined coat and gaudy carpet slippers" doesn't quite sound like our Harry.
