For those who might be confused, know that these are just excerpts from the 1932 book The Secrets of Houdini by J.C. Cannell, which is in the pubic domain. The book has been carved up and is being offered here hidden under new titles, and it isn't the first time. Disillusion indeed!

Your history of the Cannell book is locked into Blogger, an apparent subset of Google. I can't get in there.
ReplyDeleteI noticed that the photos in the newer Dover copies of the Cannell book contain muddier photos. The newer editions may have just been photocopied from the older ones. The photos in my dog eared 1970s copy are sharp and clear.
