The Westchester Collaborative Theater will present a reading of their new play, Rosabelle, Believe, on May 22 and 23 at the Ossining Library in Ossining, NY. The play is written by Joseph Lauinger and directed by Alan Lutwin. The reading on the 23rd will be followed by a Q&A with the playwright, director and cast. Tickets are available through Brown Paper Tickets.
Rosabelle, Believe is about the fractious friendship between Houdini and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (a popular subject these days). The official website describes it as "a delightful meditation on cross cultures, sexual gamesmanship and the afterlife." The cast features Deacon Hoy as Houdini; Michelle Concha as Bess; Ward Riley as Conan Doyle; Sharon Rowe as Lady Doyle; and Jim Brownold as "Eddy" Saint.
