Maddeningly, I have to miss this because it's at the same time as my family's traditional Christmas Tea in Union Square. I was consoling myself with the thought that Houdini would have frowned on skipping a family event like that...but then I read that he ran away from home twice when he was a child. So maybe he wouldn't have been so concerned about family traditions after all! What do you think? (I'm remaining anonymous in the hopes my relatives don't see that I'm torn about this.)
ReplyDeleteHmmm....I think if we advised you to choose Houdini over family we would officially be a cult. ;p
DeleteMaybe you could move tea time or bring the family along to see Houdini!
Ha! I was wondering what Houdini himself would have thought of the dilemma. His relationships with his family seem complicated.
