The third and final installment of Christine U'Ren excellent series on "Houdini in Vanishing San Francisco" has been posted to the
SF Silent Film Festival Blog. I've linked to each installment in
this post, but I thought I'd give a top-of-the-page shout-out to this latest part which covers 1923-4. I'm excited to see that Christine has uncovered newspaper clippings of Houdini's suspended straitjacket escape from the Hearst Building with photos I've never seen. (I visited the building during my recent visit to SF for the
Official Houdini Seance.)
