The November/December 2016 issue of Skeptical Inquirer magazine contains an article by Massimo Polidoro that examines the partnership between Houdini and H.P. Lovecraft and their collaboration on the unfinished Cancer of Superstition.
Polidoro is the author of Final Seance: The Strange Friendship Between Houdini and Conan Doyle. He's also the publisher of MAGIA, the current issue of which is devoted to Houdini.

By the way, Polidoro's Final Séance is a fantastic book and a nice companion to Earnst's Houdini Doyle correspondence text.
