Author Erin Callahan will be reading and signing her new young adult novel The Art of Escaping at the Houdini Museum in Scranton on Saturday, July 14 from 5-7 PM. In the book, the young protagonist is inspired by Houdini and the Houdini Museum's own Dorothy Dietrich, who will also be on hand to sign books and participate in a Q&A with Erin.
"I’m honored to inspire a story like this," Dietrich says. "There’s a whole generation of young people who may not know about Houdini, and escapology, but I like to think we’re helping keep that art and that history alive."
Scranton's Houdini Museum is located at 1433 N. Main Ave. For more information visit their website. The Art of Escaping can be purchased on Amazon.com (U.S.) and Amazon.co.uk (UK).
