Houdini takes on the truant officer
Here's an interesting item from the October 21, 1911 Buffalo Courier. It appears Houdini took offense to the idea of truant children being manacled, and this is an effective way to use his fame to call out that cruel policy. Go Harry.

Wow, I never heard of putting handcuffs on truant boys (sounds so Dickensian) but I'm glad Harry said something about it. (When I first saw your headline for this post, I mistakenly assumed it was referring to a new Houdini comic, and thought, "That doesn't sound very exciting for a Houdini comic book!")
