Let's end this crazy month with a bit of levity and sound advice. Our friend Lisa Hansen of the blog HoudiniFan has created "Houdini's Guide to Coronavirus safety" and it's pretty clever. Click the headline to have a read and stay safe!

Thanks, John! I saw a similar thing with Lucille Ball a while back and I just couldn't get a Harry version out of my head. I actually forgot about the scene in Master Mystery where he put on a mask in the lab so when I accidentally ran into that while looking through the movie, I was pleasantly surprised. :D
ReplyDeleteYes, a great find! I had forgotten about that scene too.
DeleteFantastic job Lisa! Well done!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sean!
DeleteGreat job Lisa! Luv the clips!
ReplyDeleteHow did Harry deal with the 1918 pandemic? I believe he was still living with Hardeen in 1918.
They moved back to 278 in February 1918. Not sure when that pandemic fully hit. But he actually had the flu at the start of 1919!
DeleteBess was probably more at risk. Her health was always so shaky. But I don't know if she ever got it.
Thanks, Leo! What better way to spend time stuck at home than sifting through Houdini clips, hehe!
DeleteYou're welcome Lisa! Your blog post reminded me about that 1918 Spanish Influenza. HH did catch it as John pointed out. According to Dr. Wilson HH had caught it around early 1919. I wonder if Wilson wrote that in the Sphinx.
DeleteThat made me laugh thank you Lisa!
