Bob Dylan name-checks Houdini in new song
For whatever reason, Bob Dylan has decided now is the perfect time for a 17-minute meditation on the Kennedy assassination. Boomers. But his new song, Murder Most Foul, does name-check Houdini, so it got my attention. You can listen to the song on Dylan's YouTube Channel (Houdini appears around 15:30). Below is the lyric excerpted.

In middle school, I became very interested in the Kennedy family. Oddly enough it was around the time I became interested in Harry. But I didn't get into Dylan until high school. I laughed when you put the time stamp cos I would't expect anything shorter from Dylan, lol! (15:30 is the actual time stamp.)
ReplyDeleteAh! Thank you for the correction, Lisa. Fixed.
DeleteI am a Dylan fan, I sent a copy of The Grim Game and Bob sent me a signed copy of a original poster of his only directed movie Renaldo and Clara, he is a Houdini fan! Rick Schmidlin
ReplyDeleteThat is fantastic, Rick. :)
DeleteHow cool! I'm at least glad I got to see him. A friend and I had tickets to Dylan and the Dead right before Garcia died but had no ride and missed it!! We got to see him years later but....I don't remember much of the concert. ;)
