R.I.P. Alex Trebek

By now I'm sure everyone has heard the sad news that long-time Jeopardy! host Alex Trebek passed away at age 80. Houdini always made for a good question during Trebek's 36 years, and he did again last night. The category was MAGIC and this was for $800. Don't forget to answer in the form of a question.

To see the full board check out the J! Archive website where you can also see all mentions of Houdini on the show going back to 1986.

Thanks to Janet Davis for the alert and pic.

  1. I went back to the post in 2011 where the whole column on Jeopardy was Houdini. I took the challenge and lucky for me, I got them all right! I also got the Daily Double about Sir What's His Name correct, too!

  2. I guess since many of us are into "Houdinia," answering those 'Houdini' questions along with others is an easy task. I realized reading those questions on Houdini that is how the contestants on "Jeopardy" have to be with many, many other subject areas. That my friends is NOT an easy task but that is what makes these contestants so special. As for me, I need to "ESCAPE" to another busy day😂 Benjilini

  3. As a (one-day) Jeopardy champ, let me say that it's not the stuff you don't know that'll kill you; it's the stuff you think you know. I have a Master's in Theatre History and crapped out on a Shakespeare Daily Double and the following $2000 question.
