Today I shared to my
Patreon the overboard box escape footage from Houdini's 1920 film
Terror Island. This scene is missing from the only known print of the movie. Until now, the only place you could see it was at the
Catalina Island Museum. But now you can watch it by becoming a patron! Just click below.
Thank you to my patrons (61 strong) who support all that I do here on WILD ABOUT HARRY.
This overboard box escape clip has made it into HH documentaries out there. I remember seeing it in a History Channel documentary.
ReplyDeleteYou are thinking of the overboard box footage from The Master Mystery. The underwater scene is staged in a very similar way, but it is not the same.
DeleteIs there a link to that Master Mystery box escape footage? I want to compare both.
DeleteThey use it in The Truth About Houdini which you can watch in this post. Go to 32:33.
DeleteThank you! You're right the two clips are different.
