UPDATE: Thanks everyone for your kind words and support. I'm not suffering and, ironically, this turned out to be a positive. My site never gets tagged, but it needed a look. In the old days I would link to a lot more outside sites as sources. But over a decade some of those sites have gone away and their URLs are now occupied by pages that can spread malware, etc. So Blogger pulls these posts until you remove the links, which is easy enough to do.
So it's nice to know where the problems are and fix them. It's also nice to know that Blogger/Google has no other problems with my site. So maybe we should thank our crabby friend for the complaint.

I hope this strike gets resolved soon and we can put it all behind, at least until the next strike.
ReplyDeleteI was NOT going to go through with my plan to not post during the strike. In fact, I was coming home to post when this hit me. Now I'm mad enough to stick with my threat.
DeleteOkay, I think I have all the posts fixed and resubmitted for review. There were some major posts caught in the dragnet! But not as many as I feared. I came home last night to 237 email alerts. But it looks like there were multiple alerts per post.

Quite an uneducated person who sides with the guy who made 246 million dollars *last year alone* through 'management' and not the people who create his (person this dumb is definitely a guy) entertainment. Bad things will happen to him, don't worry. Based on his behavior, they already are. And each bad thing is well-deserved.
ReplyDeleteThe "Us Against Them" stance is not the best approach for either side. Both parties need each other to produce a product. Even the indies who work out of the Hollywood loop need investors. I hope the negotiators can arrive at an agreement that both sides can live with.

ReplyDeleteThanks Anon. I explained myself better in my original post. I don't have a personal stake in the strike as I'm no longer a screenwriter and my membership with the WGA is emeritus. But I was very involved in the 2007-08 strike so I feel a comradeship with the current strikers. I also still work in this industry and understand the character of the companies they are up against. So I support them.
